Set on a peninsula site along a public lake and surrounded by water on three sides, this modern retreat embraces 270-degree lake views while maintaining a strong sense of shelter. Shared by two families as a second home, the residence is organized around a central courtyard that balances openness with protection.Located at the end of a private shared road, the home settles lightly into the land. A compact primary volume and detached shed preserve generous lawn that wraps the peninsula, allowing the landscape to flow uninterrupted to the shoreline. The courtyard draws light into the interior and creates a calm outdoor room buffered from wind and nearby marina activity. From this protected center, an exterior stair leads to a rooftop terrace where low walls frame expansive views across the water. The rebuilt home follows the original U-shaped footprint, shaping outdoor rooms that respond directly to the site, connecting architecture, lawn, and lake in a continuous, cohesive landscape experience.
