Jayita Burman
Designer
Jayita is an entry-level landscape designer with a passion for creating meaningful, context-driven landscapes. Growing up exploring the Northwoods of Minnesota and Wisconsin instilled a deep appreciation for natural systems and continues to shape her approach to design. She enjoys listening, researching, and uncovering the history of a site to better understand its character and potential.
Jayita earned a Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2026, along with certificates in Environmental Studies, Integrative Design of the Built and Natural Environment, and Indigenous Studies. During her education, she participated in collaborative design and research projects across a range of scales, with a focus on environmental stewardship, community, and culturally responsive design.
She is inspired by landscapes that reflect their history, ecology, and the people they serve. Outside the office, Jayita enjoys backpacking, camping, and hiking throughout the Northwoods of Minnesota and the Great Lakes Region. She also finds inspiration through travel, drawing ideas from art, culture, color, and craftsmanship.
